Under the credo: ” Stakeholders should have their impact – shaping the future of HNU with partners”, the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm (HNU) held a Future Workshop in June 2012 based on the concept of Strategy Design Innovation under the direction of Prof. Dr. Robert Wittmann. Strategy Design Innovation provided vital answers to the strategic orientation of HNU. In order to act effectively in the coming years, we found convincing answers to programmatic questions in the Future Workshop together with students, staff from teaching and administration as well as representatives from politics, business and other educational institutions and successfully implemented them in the following 4 years. We still use the format of the Future Workshop as a strategic instrument for university development, as it very efficiently and comprehensively combines socially relevant topics with internal implementation possibilities.

Prof. Dr. Robert G. Wittmann
is Professor for Entrepreneurhips and Innovation Management at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI) and managing partner of add|venture consulting GmbH in Augsburg. As a consultant he has been involved in the development and implementation of Strategy Designs in a large number of projects for companies such as Audi AG, Metro AG, Siemens AG, Thyssen-Krupp AG as well as for non-profit-organizations, governmental institutions and organizations in the field of science. He is also active as a coach for companies during their startup and growth phases and promotes the ongoing creation of an entrepreneurship network in the Greater Munich Area along with partners from the worlds of science and business.

Dr. Matthias Reuter
is VP and Global Head of Siemens Leadership Excellence at Siemens AG. Matthias Reuter worked 6 years in Sales, Marketing and Service Business before he started his career at Siemens in 2001. Since then, he’s been holding various positions in learning and education, people and organizational development and lastly digitalization at Siemens Global Learning Campus. He has been building and developing a global learning organization for 5 years and was driving the transformation at Siemens towards a digital enterprise over the last 4 years. Dr. Reuter holds a Diploma (Masters) in International Management & Marketing from the University of Augsburg as well as a PhD in Performance Management from the University of Ulm.

Prof. Dr. Michael Jünger
is Professor for Business Consulting and Management at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt (THI). His research focus is on the transformation of disruptive business models and the success factors of company growth. He is part of the Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE) at the THI Business School. Beside his academic focus Prof. Jünger also works as a management consultant for strategy innovation and performance excellence. In the last decade he headed and participated in a large scale of national and international consulting projects. Michael Jünger is member of the advisory board of the Institute of Business Model Innovation (IfBMI) as well as in mid sized companies.

Norbert Alexy
worked for medium-sized companies and large multinational corporations, mainly in the field of international business coordination and business development, for 30 years. From 2003 to 2013 he was responsible for the design and delivery of trainings in the field of strategy and finance, as well as for the rollout of business simulations, at the corporate university of Siemens AG. He provided these worldwide services in close cooperation with the corporate strategy department internally, and with professors from universities and business schools externally. Currently he continues to work in the same business fields as an independent consultant and trainer, e.g. for Siemens Global Learning Campus and, as a guest lecturer, at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. In parallel, he provides consulting and training services to non-profit organizations such as Senior Expert Services, on an honorary basis.
